OREANDA-NEWS The trade turnover between Russia and Iran increased by almost 10% in the first six months of 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"After last year's decline in mutual trade, the trade turnover adjusted positively in the first half of this year. It has grown by almost 10 percent between Russia and Iran," Putin said at a meeting with Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Ahmadian.

He added that the work of the intergovernmental commission is in demand, and Russia is waiting for the appointment of its chairman by Iran.
