OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the possibility of gratuitous transfer of confiscated light industry goods to the security forces, the official portal of legal information reported.

Such goods can be donated to the Ministry of Defense and for the implementation of emergency humanitarian response measures of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The law has been prepared in order to establish the possibility, taking into account the current foreign policy and macroeconomic situation, to involve confiscation in economic turnover through gratuitous transfer or as humanitarian aid, the explanatory note to the law said. The government submitted document No. 285558-8 to the State Duma in January 2023.
