OREANDA-NEWS The invitation to Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit Bahrain has been received. However, it has not yet been considered, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told RIA Novosti.

"An oral invitation was received following the results of the king's visit to Moscow, but it is not yet being considered, since the King of Bahrain recently visited," Ushakov said.

Earlier, the Bahraini ambassador to Moscow, Ahmed Al-Saati, said that Bahrain is waiting for a response to the invitation and the visit of Vladimir Putin. In May, the King of Bahrain visited Russia on an official visit and held talks with the Russian president.

Earlier it was reported that Bahrain refused to support the final declaration of the summit on Ukraine, which was held in Switzerland in June. It is clarified that the document contains accusations of Russia's "war" against Ukraine, which led to destruction and human suffering.

In May, British expert Alexander Mercuris said that the friendly visit of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain to Russia and the statement on the appeal to Moscow on the occasion of the peace conference mark the failure of US policy in the Middle East.
