Such an order was given by President Vladimir Putin.

“It is urgent to isolate the industrial site and ensure its protection by the Russian Guard,” the politician said, summing up the results of the meeting on the environmental situation in the town. The President ordered to close access to dangerous facilities for people so that they do not endanger their lives and health.

Earlier, Putin criticized the attitude of the authorities at all levels to the environmental situation in Usolye-Sibirskoye. According to him, the burden of environmental problems has been accumulating there since the 1930s. “A large chemical enterprise worked on this territory, and now the situation is such that the storage facilities for chemical production waste are in an emergency state. To be honest, no one has ever really dealt with this,” the head of state claimed.
