OREANDA-NEWS  People began to buy more chicken eggs, and the authorities "did not orient themselves in time." Such a reason for the rise in price of a popular product was called by Russian President Vladimir Putin, his words are quoted by TASS.

During a meeting with businessmen of the Far Eastern Federal District (Far Eastern Federal District) in Khabarovsk, the head of state admitted that the government did not open the import of chicken eggs at the right time, which is why "prices soared." At the end of December, Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko said that there is not and will not be a shortage of eggs in Russia, and prices for them will stabilize after the New Year, when there will be a rush demand. According to her, the situation is similar to the one that was during the pandemic with buckwheat and sugar.

Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko instructed the Vitebsk broiler poultry farm to share chicken eggs with Russia. The head of state clarified the availability of the product from the general director of the factory and ordered them to be "transferred" to a neighboring state.
