OREANDA-NEWS The President instructed the Ministry of Defense to join the extinguishing of fires in Siberia. Currently, aviation crews receive instructions and complete pre-flight training. 

In the coming hours, ten Il-76 aircraft and ten helicopters of the military transport aviation of the Russian Air Force equipped with special spillway devices will fly to Krasnoyarsk. 

By Wednesday, forest fires in Russia reached about 3 million hectares, 147 forest fires that actively extinguish and more than 300 forest fires in hard-to-reach areas are now operating. The largest number of fires is noted in the Irkutsk Region, where 59 fires are extinguished on the lands of the forest fund on an area of 78,226 hectares. In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, 47 fires are extinguished on an area of 21,963 hectares, in Yakutia - 24 fires on an area of 1,403 hectares.
