OREANDA-NEWS. Relations between the Russian Federation and the United States should be based on the principles of equality and non-interference in each other's affairs.

This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the ceremony of presenting credentials by ambassadors of several countries, including the United States. According to him, "peace and security on the planet largely depend on the state of relations between Russia and the United States, their stability and predictability".

“We are convinced that these relations should be based on the principles of equality, respect for sovereignty and non-interference in each other’s internal affairs”, the head of state said. According to him, Moscow is ready for a meaningful dialogue with Washington in the field of arms control and the fight against terrorism.
