OREANDA-NEWS A joint communique, a plan for Russian-Chinese investment cooperation and 15 other intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents were signed following the 29th regular meeting of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang.

In addition to two protocols on the mechanism of regular meetings and four on the work of government commissions, the delegations of the two countries also signed a protocol to the agreement on facilitating travel of citizens, as well as a protocol on supporting cooperation in the field of basic research between universities of the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China. Cooperation in the field of basic research is also secured by an agreement between the Russian Joint Institute for Nuclear Research and the Ministry of Science of the People's Republic of China.

Memoranda of understanding were also signed on the cross-border use of highly automated transport, on cooperation in maritime rescue, in the chemical industry, and in environmentally friendly construction.

The customs structures of the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China also signed two documents - Moscow and Beijing will cooperate in the field of the "single window" mechanism for customs clearance, as well as strengthen methodological and informational cooperation in the field of customs statistics. Currently, the Russian and Chinese sides give slightly different estimates of trade turnover, and the document will allow us to approach a common approach in calculations.
