OREANDA-NEWS   Vladimir Putin addressed the Russian Guards on the occasion of the Day of the Russian National Guard Troops, which is celebrated on March 27.

The Head of State listed the key tasks of the Rosgvardiya — the fight against terrorism, extremism and organized crime, the protection of significant, strategic objects, ensuring law and order during mass events, control over the circulation of weapons. Vladimir Putin noted the complexity and importance of such a range of work of the Rosgvardians, pointing out that the successful implementation of the set goals requires high professionalism and consistency, strict observance of the rule of law and focus on achieving results in the interests of the security of society and the state.

Putin expressed special words of gratitude and appreciation to the veterans of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, OMON units, SOBRA, and a number of other services that have become the basis of modern Regardie. He stressed that the main pillar of the body was and remains the honor and valor of the fighters and commanders, their devoted service to the Fatherland and the people.
