OREANDA-NEWS. Russian president Vladimir Putin compared the actions of the Russian authorities in the fight against the consequences of the coronavirus with the wartime, adding that then production of tanks was launched within a few weeks, and today the authorities should work even better.

During the meeting on the implementation of measures to support the economy and social sphere, director of sport club «Albatross» Sergei Belanov from Kaliningrad thanked Putin for a large number of support programs launched in the shortest possible time.

«Within a few weeks we took out all the industrial enterprises from almost the entire European part of the country, and immediately started the production of tanks in the field, and then delivered them to the front. Therefore, in our conditions we have to do it and work even better. But thank you for your assessment, I am very pleased to hear that,» Putin responded.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin stated that the Russian authorities in the fight against COVID-19 disease and the consequences of the pandemic, in general, managed to act ahead of schedule. When the very first steps to fight the pandemic were taken, it was clear, according to him, that forced restrictions, as elsewhere in the world, would inevitably affect business activity, the economy, business and thus people's income and well-being.
