OREANDA-NEWS. The number of cases of coronavirus in Russia has decreased by half compared to the peak; at the same time, “the situation can swing in any direction,” Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting on the sanitary and epidemiological situation.

The politician noted that in some Russian regions the situation remains to be difficult, and there is a threat of an increase in the number of infections. “There are no reasons for complacency and relaxation, no reasons to forget about doctors’ recommendations,” Putin stated.

In this regard, the head of state declared the need to avoid the introduction of repeated quarantine restrictions. “It is necessary to do everything to try to avoid the re-introduction of the regime of restrictions, especially large-scale, so that schools, kindergartens, universities, enterprises and organizations can work safely, in a normal, usual for people mode,” he claimed.
