OREANDA-NEWS  The shortage of workers limits economic growth in Russia. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2024), the correspondent of "Lenta.<url>" from the plenary hall.

The involvement of migrant workers can help solve this issue, the head of state stated. However, Russia needs people with certain qualifications and training, with knowledge of the Russian language and local traditions, he said.

A meaningful migration policy has not yet been built in the country, the Russian president added.
