OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Kazakhstan on a two-day state visit. This was announced by the Kremlin on its website.

"The President of Russia has arrived in Kazakhstan on a two—day state visit," the message says. In addition, on November 28, Putin will take part in the regular session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO)

It is noted that the Russian leader will meet with his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. During the talks, they will discuss issues of further development of Russian-Kazakh relations of strategic partnership and alliance, including taking into account the chairmanship of Astana in the CSTO and Moscow in the CIS and BRICS.

Earlier it became known that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will not participate in the CSTO summit, which will be held in Astana. As the press secretary of the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic Nazeli Baghdasaryan noted, Armenia's position on freezing its membership in the CSTO remains unchanged.
