OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin made an appeal to Russian servicemen after the retaliatory strike by the latest medium-range ballistic missile "Oreshnik" in Ukraine. The speech of the head of state was broadcast on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

He said that he would like to inform about the events taking place in the zone of the special operation, against the background of attacks by Ukrainian troops on Russian territory with Western long-range weapons. Putin clarified that he was addressing the military, Russians, friends of the Russian Federation around the world, as well as those "who continue to harbor illusions about the possibility of inflicting strategic defeat" to the country.

During the address, the head of Russia revealed for the first time the details of two attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with Western long-range missiles. He said that on November 19, six ATACMS tactical missiles were struck on the territory of Russia, and on November 21, Ukrainian troops fired at military facilities using British Storm Shadow and HIMARS missiles.
