OREANDA-NEWS  Russia's gross domestic product (GDP) will increase by 3.9 percent by the end of 2024. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting on economic issues, TASS reports.

"It is expected that by the end of the year this figure will be 3.9 percent, which will be higher than the global average," the head of state said.

Putin also noted that, according to the Ministry of Economic Development, the country's GDP increased by 4.2 percent in the first eight months of this year. He stressed that Russian economic growth is ahead of the global one, which will amount to 3.2 percent.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin said that two main measures should help curb inflation — reducing the non-oil and gas deficit and returning to the budget rule. These items are designated as priorities in the general list of tasks of the federal budget for the next three years, the head of state drew attention.
