OREANDA-NEWS  In 2023, 110.1 million square meters of housing were introduced in Russia — this is a historical record in the entire history of the country. This was announced by President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the government.

"As for the construction, we have returned to this issue several times, in my opinion, 110.1 million square meters of housing have been commissioned. This is, of course, an absolute record, there has been nothing like it in the history of Russia so far. I want to congratulate the builders on this. This is a very good indicator," the head of state said.

Putin also noted the country's successes in industrial production, agriculture, tourism and cargo turnover.

Earlier, Rosreestr recorded a record for the number of transactions concluded in the secondary housing market in Moscow. By the end of 2023, almost 175 thousand purchase and sale agreements were executed in this market segment. The last highest figure was recorded in 2009. Sales peaked in August — 17.5 thousand contracts, but by November the number of concluded deals began to decrease.
