OREANDA-NEWS  Working in an operational and extremely stressful mode gives positive results, a new cycle of growth of the Russian economy has been recorded, Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the State Council for the Development of Industry under sanctions.

Today, taking into account the dynamics of the situation, we will determine further steps in the development of industry," the president said. Today he visited the Tula Railway Engineering Plant. Putin recalled the words of one of his interlocutors during the visit.

"Here at the enterprise where we were today, one of the heads of the enterprise said a wonderful phrase. He said: "We were forced to switch to import substitution there, there, where we had not thought about it before." Here is this phrase — it is the key: "We have to." And so I think that if we had not been forced, we would never have done it," the head of state added.

He also pointed out the need to create "financial preferences and measures to support projects aimed at achieving technological sovereignty." In particular, as the President explained, the government needs to consider the introduction of tax incentives for buyers of domestic high-tech equipment.
