OREANDA-NEWS  Vladimir Putin has launched the movement of trains on the Bolshaya Koltsevaya Line of the Moscow Metro, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported.

The opening ceremony of the new line is being held via video link with the participation of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, metro employees and specialists who took part in the construction of the Bolshoi Ring.

"Now the new ring line has been fully put into operation, and it has become available for trips along its entire length. I congratulate Muscovites and residents of the Moscow region on this wonderful event," Putin said.

The Head of State stressed that the BCL has become the world's largest underground ring, and left an autograph on a new, complete map of the Moscow metro. According to him, the project was implemented thanks to the persistent work of the government of the capital.
