OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin has authorized transactions with shares of Intesa Bank - the Russian "daughter" of the Italian Intesa Sanpaolo, the corresponding order is published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

"To allow transactions (operations) entailing directly and (or) indirectly the establishment, modification, termination or encumbrance of the rights of ownership, use and (or) disposal of 100 percent of the shares of Banca Intesa joint stock company," the document says.

In early August, the largest Italian banking group Intesa Sanpaolo closed its representative office in Russia, while the Russian "daughter" of the group - JSC "Banca Intesa" - continued to operate normally.
