OREANDA-NEWS  The leaders of the CIS countries disagree on some issues, however, despite this, cooperation continues. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Interfax reports.

"Unfortunately, we have to admit that there are also disagreements between the member states of the Commonwealth. The main thing, however, is that we are ready and will cooperate, and even if any problematic issues arise, we strive to solve them ourselves, together, jointly providing each other with friendly assistance and mediation assistance," he admitted during his speech at the informal CIS summit.

The President thanked the leaders of the Commonwealth countries for supporting Russia's initiative and coming to an informal meeting. He also noted that such events are usually very effective.

Earlier it was reported that the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko flew to St. Petersburg. It was noted that during this visit he will take part in an informal summit of the heads of the CIS countries.
