Prosecutor General's Office Will Take On Companies That Decided to Leave Russian Market
OREANDA-NEWS The Prosecutor General's Office (GP) of the Russian Federation decided to check compliance with the rights of employees of companies that announced their withdrawal from the Russian market, the press service of the department reported. The GP explained that prosecutors strictly control compliance with labor legislation, including the terms of employment contracts, salary payments, fulfillment of obligations of companies to contractors, as well as obligations to Russia.
"On behalf of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov, in order to ensure the interests of bona fide entrepreneurs and employees of organizations whose managers have announced the suspension of activities in Russia, prosecutors have strengthened supervision over compliance with current legislation by such companies," the department explained.
The Prosecutor General highlighted the observance of the rights of socially unprotected groups of people — citizens with disabilities, pregnant women with young children, Russians of pre-retirement and retirement age.
"Igor Krasnov separately pointed out the inadmissibility of unilateral renunciation of obligations by organizations that have announced the suspension of activities on the territory of Russia. Such facts will be severely suppressed by prosecutors," the GP added.
