OREANDA-NEWS. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the protests of citizens of the country against the evacuation of Ukrainians from the People’s Republic ofChina in connection with the outbreak of a new coronavirus. Earlier it became known that in a number of regions of Ukraine, residents protest against this measure.

“Attempts to cordon off roads, block hospitals and prevent Ukrainian citizens from entering Ukraine – this is far from showing the best side of our character. Especially we are to consider that most passengers are people who are under 30 years old. For many of us, they are almost like children,” Zelensky wrote on February 20 in his Telegram channel.

The President noted that evacuated Ukrainians are healthy, but will be quarantined for 14 days in the closed medical center. The institution is completely isolated and transferred to a strict regime of bacteriological safety. According to Zelensky, in the next two weeks, the medical center will become the most protected facility in the country.
