Young Russians Were Offered to Limit the Issuance of Loans
OREANDA-NEWS The deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Leningrad Region Vladimir Petrov turned to Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev with a proposal to grant loans to citizens under 25 only for education and purchase of housing.
Petrov believes that people who have barely come of age often abuse loans for not the most necessary things - fashionable gadgets, expensive cars, foreign vacations and much more. The MP believes that this attitude to borrowed funds does not meet the original goals of consumer lending, creates increased demand and encourages banks themselves to “lure” young people into “credit slavery”.
The legislator also notes that more than half of Russian youth under the age of 35 are anyway debtors of banks under credit agreements.
