OREANDA-NEWS Vladimir Putin, president of the Russian Federation, made an appeal on Nagorno-Karabakh. He called on the countries participating in the conflict to stop feud for common to all mankind reasons.

As the Kremlin press service reports, the Russian president made some telephone conversations with the leaders of both warring countries, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, after alarming military clashes in Nagorno-Karabakh took place in the morning of September 27.

Putin strongly pointed to the need to stop military clashes in the region as soon as possible. Such decision will make it possible to give prisoners and bodies of the dead by the both of the warring states.

The press-service of the Kremlin also adds, that the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia are asked to attend Russian capital on October 9 to take necessary advice and consultations on these alarming interstate issues, while inclusive, active and helpful mediation of the Russian Foreign Minister is guaranteed.

Not only the Russian president, but also the heads of the United States and France, that are the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group on Karabakh, called on the warring countries to stop military all the clashes and start negotiations without putting any preconditions, which a priori may not suit the other warring side. The leaders of these states highly condemned the escalation and also expressed condolences to the relatives of the victims of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
