OREANDA-NEWS The United States told under what conditions it will impose "tough sanctions" against Russia in the Skripal  case. According to assistant Secretary of state Manisha Singh, Moscow should allow inspections at its chemical facilities.

The diplomat said that Russia should also give US guarantees that it will no longer use nerve agents against its citizens again. She recalled that Moscow did not do that.

The assistant Secretary of state noted that if this does not happen before November, Moscow is waiting for a "very tough package of sanctions."

Sanctions are planned under the 1991 law on the control of chemical and biological weapons and the prevention of war.

USA entered the first package of restrictive measures in the Skripal  case on August 27. The second part of the restrictions may affect lending to Russian legal entities, export and import of goods.

The day before, the head of the Ministry of industry and trade Denis Manturov said that the "November" sanctions are unlikely to contain economically unjustified decisions for the States that will limit the supply of their products to Russia.

"If they buy from US what is profitable for them, then they are definitely interested in selling everything they produce," the Minister said.

Last week, the Chairman of the state Duma Committee on the financial market Anatoly Aksakov noted that Western sanctions have become Russia's advantages in the development of innovation in the domestic financial market.

"Sanctions make the brain work more intensively and efficiently, respectively, new ideas are constantly being born, which, in our opinion, will allow to overcome any sanctions decisions that are taken against our country," the politician concluded.
