OREANDA-NEWS. During the celebration of the 29th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence in Kiev, the country’s President Volodymyr Zelensky promised to hold a military parade after the return of the uncontrolled territories in Donbass.

“When there is a lasting peace on our land, we will hold a big parade of all our troops and equipment, a parade after which no one else will even think of breaking the peace in Ukraine, encroaching on its freedom and independence,” the politician stated.

According to Zelensky, now all military equipment is in the east of Ukraine. The President noted that tanks, armoured personnel carriers and airplanes should not be an “amusement” for residents and guests of the capital in a country “that defends its sovereignty in arms.” Therefore, before holding a parade, people and territories should be returned, the head of state resumed.
