Ukrainian Parliamentarian Said Kiev Is Ready to Provide Military Support to Azerbaijan
OREANDA-NEWS. Ukraine is ready to provide military and humanitarian aid to Azerbaijan against the background of the escalation of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the pro-presidential party Servant of the People, Lyudmila Marchenko.
According to her, if “the issue becomes acute,” Kiev will not pass by. The deputy assured that the Ukrainian authorities are already supporting Baku in the legal field and in the sphere of resources, preparing humanitarian aid. “Ukraine is ready to support Azerbaijan today at different platforms. This includes military and humanitarian support for everything that will be needed in the future. The issue of compiling a list of what exactly is needed is being considered,” Marchenko said on the air of the television channel Ukraina 24.
However, Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov, said that Kiev does not plan to provide military assistance to any of the parties to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. “Ukraine will not provide military assistance to any of the parties in the Azerbaijani-Armenian conflict. But medical assistance – pills for too actively fantasizing deputies – should be looked for by the whole country,” he wrote on his Twitter page.
