Ukraine Opened a Criminal Case after a Train Passed through the Crimean Bridge
OREANDA-NEWS. The Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case on the arrival of a train from Saint Petersburg to the Crimea through the Crimean bridge. This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine news agency with reference to the press service of the department.
The case was initiated under Part 1 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Illegal transport of persons across the state border of Ukraine”. The punishment under the article provides for up to five years in prison.
The first passenger train from Russia passed along the railway part of the bridge across the Kerch Strait on the morning of December 25. When it arrived in the city of Sevastopol, it was solemnly met at the station.
On December 24, the first passenger train from Moscow departed from the Kazansky railway station to the Crimean peninsula.
