Ukraine Decided to Terminate the Agreement with Russia on Trade Missions
OREANDA-NEWS. The government of Ukraine decided to terminate the agreement with Russia on the mutual establishment of trade missions.
This was reported on August 17 by Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Emine Dzhaparova. “Today, at an extraordinary meeting of the cabinet of ministers of Ukraine, it was decided to terminate the agreement between the government of Ukraine and the government of the Russian Federation on the mutual establishment of trade missions, which had been in force since October 1992. Considering the Russian aggression and occupation of Crimea and, accordingly, the current state of relations, this agreement, like many others, has lost its practical meaning and does not meet the national interests of Ukraine. This decision is a logical and consistent step of the Ukrainian government,” the politician wrote on her Facebook page.
The mentioned agreement was signed in Moscow on October 22, 1992. It provided for the functioning of trade missions on the territory of the two states. These entities were supposed to promote the development of trade and economic ties between Russia and Ukraine.
