OREANDA-NEWS. The leader of the opposition party Fatherland Yulia Tymoshenko claimed that the Ukrainian authorities are preparing to conduct “the scam of the century” and pass a law on opening the land market.

“At an extraordinary parliamentary meeting, they plan to adopt a law on the sale of Ukrainian agricultural land. A law will allow foreigners to buy our black soil in a few years. So, our land will bear fruit and profit not to Ukrainians, but to international holdings that have laid eyes on it long ago,” the politician wrote on Facebook. “People will be told that this is the only way to get another loan and avoid default. This is a fraud and cynical manipulation!” Tymoshenko added. She pointed out that the country’s authorities are taking advantage of the fact that people cannot protest because of quarantine. “We will be given a loan of several billion, and a resource that has no price will be taken!” Tymoshenko resumed.
