Trump Refuses to Sign a Law on Economic Aid Package
OREANDA-NEWS. US President Donald Trump will not sign the bill on measures to support the population and economy of the country developed by the US Congress, unless changes are made to it. The head of state reported on this on his Twitter page.
“I am also asking Congress to get rid of the wasteful and unnecessary items from this legislation and to send me a suitable bill,” Trump said. He asked parliamentarians to increase the 600 dollars payout to 2 thousand, or 4 thousand per family.
The President called the document sent to him for signature a shame. He also suggested that not all members of Congress read the bill, since it was too long.
According to Trump, the bill includes unnecessary items of expenditure, for example, assistance to third countries, as well as support for US cultural institutions and environmental programs.
