US President Donald Trump has formally agreed to run for a second term. “My fellow Americans, tonight with a heart full of gratitude and boundless optimism, I proudly accept this nomination for President of the United States,” the politician said at a convention of the Republican Party. The audience greeted this statement with a long standing ovation.

Trump promised, if he is re-elected, to quickly restore the economy of the USA after the coronavirus pandemic and turn the United States into a “manufacturing superpower.” He credited himself with taking “toughest, boldest, strongest, and hardest hitting action” against China, promised that the construction of the wall on the border with Mexico would be completed, and said that he would punish companies that were transferring jobs abroad with duties.

The current head of state claimed that the Democrats are radicals who would destroy the American way of life, and expressed the opinion that his opponent Joe Biden would reintroduce the coronavirus quarantine and thereby hit the economy of the country.
