OREANDA-NEWS. President of the United States Donald Trump has denied reports of termination of the trade deal with the People’s Republic of China. “The China Trade Deal is fully intact. Hopefully they will continue to live up to the terms of the Agreement!” the politician wrote on his Twitter page.

Earlier, Peter Navarro, head of the Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy at the US administration, said on the air of the TV channel Fox News that Trump had decided to terminate the deal with China. According to Navarro, this happened against the backdrop of growing confidence of American intelligence services in the fact that a new coronavirus originated from the laboratory in China. “It’s over”, the official said about the agreement. “Here’s, I think, the turning point. They came here on January 15 to sign that trade deal, and that was a full two months after they knew the virus was out and about.”

Washington and Beijing signed a deal on January 15. The first stage of the transaction provides that China should increase the volume of goods purchased from the United States by 200 billion dollars. Moreover, the already established duties of 25 % on goods from China with a total value of 250 billion dollars remain in force.
