OREANDA-NEWS. US President Donald Trump said that he wants to immediately begin the process in the Senate of the US Congress as part of impeachment. He wrote about this on Thursday on his Twitter page.
"Democrats in the House of Representatives could not get a single Republican vote in support of their fraudulent impeachment. Republicans have never been so united! Democrats have such bad evidence in the case that they don't even want to participate in the process!", The president added. The American leader believes that the Democrats don't want to send allegations against him as part of the impeachment to the US Senate because they are afraid of calling inconvenient witnesses to the process.
The reason Democrats don't want to hand over impeachment articles to the Senate is because they do not want the corrupt politician Adam Schiff to swear affidavits, he said. The House of Representatives on December 18 voted to dismiss U.S. President Donald Trump. The prosecution, which was considered by lawmakers, consisted of two articles: abuse of power and obstruction to Congress.
