OREANDA-NEWS. US President Donald Trump scolded Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after appearing a video that shows Trudeau laughing with other heads of state at the NATO summit in London during Trump’s speech.

On a 25-minute clip published on Twitter by Power & Politics (CBC News), British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte discuss Trump’s long press conferences. The video begins with the fact that Johnson asks Macron why he is late. Trudeau jokes: “He was late because he takes a… 40-minute press conference at the top.” Then the prime minister adds: “You just watched his team’s jaws drop to the floor.” The politicians did not mention Trump by name, however, according to CNN, the comment seems to relate to Trump’s long press conference following their meeting on December 3.

Journalists asked Trump at a press conference in London on November 4 what he thinks about these comments. “Well, he’s two-faced,” the American leader replied, adding that “Trudeau… is a nice guy.” Trump also criticized Canadian leader for not spending 2 % of gross domestic product on defense, which NATO members must pay.

Trump canceled his final press conference at the NATO summit in London, he is going to return to the United States. “When today’s meetings are over, I will be heading back to Washington. We won’t be doing a press conference at the close of NATO because we did so many over the past two days,” American President wrote on his Twitter page.
