OREANDA-NEWS. Summer vacations for schoolchildren and students should be extended until October 1, in order to allow young people to earn extra money or go on vacation in September, an experiment could be conducted in the Far East, State Duma deputy Vasily Vlasov took this initiative.

 Vasily Vlasov said that currently the level of workload of pupils and students is very high, since almost all exams end only in early July, and in fact, vacations last only two months.  Also, according to the deputy, one should take into account the fact that in the summer, many students and schoolchildren prefer to work.  In the case of extending the summer vacation, they will be able to gain more practical knowledge and consolidate theoretical.

 Vlasov sent a letter to Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova stating that he often meets with schoolchildren, students and teachers.  They “very often sound suggestions about the need to extend the summer vacation until October 1,” he said.
