The Prosecutor General's Office Ordered to Strictly Prevent the Organization of Illegal Rallies

OREANDA-NEWS After the events in Moscow, it is necessary to strictly stop the actions of the organizers and participants of illegal and uncoordinated public actions, said Alexander Buksman, first deputy of general prosecutor of Russia.
"The last event in Moscow dictates the need to adjust the organization of supervision in the bodies during the preparation for the single voting day. Prosecutors should harshly stop the actions of organizers and participants of illegal and uncoordinated public actions, promptly react to violations of the legal rights of citizens and use for this the whole arsenal of measures response, including questions of the anti-terrorism protection of polling stations," he said during a board meeting at the Prosecutor General’s Office, on which the work of the supervisory authority in the first half of the year was summed up and the problem of the second was discussed.
The uncoordinated actions organized by opposition members who were not registered as candidates to the Moscow City Duma due to the excess number of invalid signatures were held in the capital on July 14 and 27. Police reported that more than 1300 people were detained last Saturday for various reasons.
