The New York Times Wrote about Trump’s Account in a Chinese Bank
OREANDA-NEWS. The newspaper New York Times reported that US President Donald Trump has an account in one of the Chinese banks along with accounts in Ireland and Great Britain.
According to the publication, the Chinese account is not indicated in the politician’s public financial disclosures, since it was not opened for him personally, but for Trump International Hotels Management LLC. According to tax reports, the company paid 188.5 thousand US dollars in taxes in China between 2013 and 2015. The name of the bank is not indicated, as well as the amount of funds that could have passed through the account.
Trump International Hotels Management opened an account in China after opening a local tax office, lawyer of the Trump Organization, Alan Garten, told journalists. According to him, no transactions went through the account, and income of few thousand dollars was received from it.
Trump’s two other overseas accounts are owned by golf course companies in Ireland and Scotland. They report of multimillion-dollar income annually.
