OREANDA-NEWS. The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan canceled the state of emergency in the capital introduced by the country's President Sooronbay Jeenbekov, who resigned.
Deputies unanimously voted to lift the state of emergency, which was introduced by the country's resigned President Sooronbay Jeenbekov amid mass protests, a source told RIA Novosti.
On the eve of the President of Kyrgyzstan sooronbay Jeenbekov announced his decision to leave the post. He also called on the Prime Minister of the Republic Sadyr Zhaparov and other politicians to withdraw their supporters from Bishkek and return to peaceful life. On the same day, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Sadyr Zhaparov announced that the President's powers were now transferred to him, since the speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament, Kanat Isayev, refused to serve as President.
