The Head of the DPR Warned Kiev about the Consequences in the Event of an Offensive
OREANDA-NEWS. If Kiev goes on the offensive, the DPR will not stop at its current borders, as said the head of the self-proclaimed republic Denis Pushilin.
"There is a desire to liberate the territories of Donbass controlled by Kiev, the Russians, who are now in incomparable conditions, there is such a desire. But the war is terrible. We will do everything possible so that a big war does not start, but if Ukraine takes this step, then where will we stop, no one will not say now, "he said, answering a question about the actions of the DPR in the event of an offensive by the Ukrainian security forces.
According to him, the situation is deteriorating and "is on the rise": the number of shelling has almost doubled compared to the last quarter of last year, Ukraine is pulling equipment and personnel to the contact line. All this, according to the head of the DPR, suggests that Kiev is ready to resume full-scale hostilities.
At the same time, he stressed that the DPR is ready for any development of the situation. “It’s hard to say whether there is enough determination, awareness that this will be death for the whole of Ukraine. Ukraine is being pushed, pushed by Western countries,” concluded Pushilin.
Recently, tension in the conflict zone in Donbass has increased significantly: the OSCE reports a significant increase in the number of ceasefire violations, the militias say that the Armed Forces use artillery in shelling.
In Moscow, the situation on the contact line was called frightening and noted that they did not yet see Kiev's intentions to calm down and take control of its units.
