OREANDA-NEWS. The exchange of prisoners between Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and Ukraine will take place on April 16 according to the formula eight for ten.

This was announced by the Ombudswoman of the DPR Daria Morozova. A day before, the details of the future exchange were agreed by the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group for the settlement of the conflict in the east of Ukraine.

In March, authorities of the unrecognized republics of Donbass published roll-call lists of prisoners whom they were ready to transfer to the Ukrainian authorities in exchange for their detainees. It was reported that the exchange should be carried out before Orthodox Easter (April 19).
