The Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Said That Ukraine is Close to a Large-scale War in Donbass
OREANDA-NEWS. Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from the Opposition Platform - For Life faction Ilya Kiva said that the country is closer than ever to the beginning of a large-scale war in Donbass.
Kiva wrote on his Telegram channel on Monday: "Assessing the current policy of legal lawlessness and actions to usurp the power of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, I can say with full confidence that we are closer than ever to the beginning of a large-scale war in Donbass that will cover all of Ukraine, which means thousands of new deaths of our citizens, and the more there are, the better for the authorities."
He stressed that this is being prepared to "legalize illegal actions in relation to opposition political parties, which the authorities are afraid of, as their direct competitors in the upcoming re-elections to the Verkhovna Rada."
"The decision to re-election has long been ripe in the office of the president, but you only need to clean up the political field. The start of the war is also the opportunity to introduce martial law throughout Ukraine at any time, which means replacing the discontent of the population with the government, animal fear for their lives," the deputy considers.
