The parliamentary groups for relations between the Russian Federation and the Federal Republic of Germany in the Bundestag and the State Duma demand a diagnosis of the health condition of opposition politician Aleksey Navalny with the participation of German, Russian and independent experts. This is said in their joint statement signed by Robby Schlund from the German side, and Pavel Zavalny from the Russian side.

The parliamentarians wish Navalny a speedy recovery and hope that he will recover completely. They consider it fundamentally important to conduct an independent investigation of his state of health with the participation of German, Russian and independent criminologists and doctors.

The Russian Foreign Ministry repeatedly called Berlin for cooperation in the Navalny case, and then expressed a protest to the German Ambassador Geza Andreas von Geyr, noting that the situation is being used to discredit the Russian Federation in the international arena.
