OREANDA-NEWS  The maximum monthly allowance for child care up to 1.5 years will increase from 1 January 2019 to 26 thousand rubles, instead of 24 thousand rubles in 2018. This was reported on Monday in a press-service of the Social Insurance Fund (SIF).

"The maximum amount of monthly child care allowance for a full calendar month from January 1, 2019 will be 26 152,27 rubles," the Fund said.

For the calculation of the benefit, the salary for the previous two years is taken, but not above the maximum base. The maximum bases for calculating insurance contributions to the Fund for 2017 and 2018 are 755 thousand rubles and 815 thousand rubles, respectively, which allows to increase the maximum amount of maternity benefits, as well as the monthly child care allowance.

It is expected that the minimum amount of maternity benefits for 140 days of leave from January 1, 2019 will increase to almost 52 thousand rubles.

"In case of insured events from January 1, 2019, the minimum amount of maternity benefits for 140 days of leave will be 51,919 rubles," the press service of the Fund said.

The Social Insurance Fund explained that if the insured person had no earnings, or was very small, the said allowance will be calculated from the minimum wage (minimum wage). Minimum wage from the new year will increase to 11280 rubles. So far it is 11163 rubles.

At the same time, the maximum amount of maternity benefit for 140 days of leave will be more than 301 thousand rubles, this year it exceeds 282 thousand rubles. "The maximum amount of maternity benefit for 140 days of leave from January 1, 2019 will be 301095,20 rubles," the Fund informed.

In turn, the minimum monthly allowance for child care up to 1.5 years will increase from January 1, 2019 to 4.5 thousand rubles. "The monthly allowance for child care, calculated from the minimum wage, for a full calendar month will be 4 512 rubles," the Social Insurance Fund said.

If the insured person had no earnings, or was very small, the said allowance will be calculated from the minimum wage.

Previously, the minimum monthly allowance for child care up to 1.5 years was increased to 4.4 thousand rubles.
