OREANDA-NEWS. The Academic Council will deprive Axander Lukashenko of the title of honorary doctor of the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University (KNU). The grounds will be «violation of human rights, disrespect for the state of Ukraine». According to the rector of KNU, Lukashenko will become the first person in the history of the university to be deprived of an honorary title.

Earlier, the head of the Russian LDPR party, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, said that the people of Belarus are already tired of the fact that Lukashenko holds the post of president of the republic. According to the politician, the electorate demands a change of power.

Before that, it became known that «Air France» canceled both flights to Moscow on Monday, May 31. This is due to the restrictions that European countries imposed after a plane carrying an opposition blogger was urgently landed in Minsk at the request of Lukashenko. The head of Belarus explained this decision with a message about a bomb inside the liner.
