The head of the Russian State Duma Commission on Control over the Reliability of Information on the Income and Assets, Otari Arshba said that there are no complaints against deputies from the ruling political party United Russia regarding compliance with the requirements for the absence of foreign citizenship.

The question of foreign citizenship was raised by State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, who suggested checking whether the deputy from the Communist Party Denis Parfyonov has US passport. The latter, in turn, said that it is necessary to check all parliamentarians, and above all United Russia faction, since social networks users often write about their foreign citizenship.

Arshba noted that during the registration of candidates for deputies, the Central Election Commission and law enforcement agencies conduct checks, including compliance with all restrictions prescribed by the law on the status of a deputy. According to him, there are no questions about United Russia.
