OREANDA-NEWS  Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe expects to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, November 14, in Singapore. On Tuesday, citing a source in the Japanese government, reported the Agency Kyodo.

"Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will visit Singapore and Papua new Guinea from 14 to 18 November. In Singapore, it is planned to hold Japanese - Russian talks at the highest level,"-said in turn at a regular press conference, the Secretary General of the Cabinet of Ministers of Japan Yoshihide Suga. He, however, did not specify when the meeting of the head of the Japanese government and the Russian President will be held.

As previously reported by the Kremlin press service,"November 13-15, the Russian head of state will visit Singapore, where he will participate in the Russia - Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit and the 13th East Asian summit." It was noted that on different days of the visit, the Russian leader will also hold bilateral meetings with President of South Korea moon Jae-in, Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Malaysia Mahathir Mohamad and President of Indonesia Joko Widodo.

The participants of the event will discuss the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and the settlement in Syria.

Earlier in September, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe expects to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in November and December this year.

The Japanese Prime Minister, commenting on the Russian leader's proposal to sign a peace Treaty before the end of this year, said that Putin, in his opinion, "is really committed to [the idea] to sign" this document. At the same time, the Prime Minister pointed out that Japan's position is to "conclude a peace Treaty after the solution of the territorial problem".
