OREANDA-NEWS. President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic announced the victory of the Serbian Progressive Party led by him in the parliamentary elections.

According to the first data of the Election Commission, 63.35 % of citizens voted for it. 2.32 % of the ballots were processed. The results of exit polls also indicate the victory of the ruling party.

“Dear citizens of Serbia, I have been in politics for many years, but this is my first experience of such a kind! We have received the greatest trust in the people in history, having got over 2 million out of 3.3 million votes from citizens who came to the polls. We won everywhere, even where we had been losing previously. We won in Berlin, New York. In Moscow we gained 57 %, and in Sochi 95 %,” Vucic said.

According to preliminary information, the second place in the race will be occupied by the Socialist Party of Serbia headed by the Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic (10.67 %), and the third by the Serbian Radical Party (1.58 %). The turnout of voters was 59.4 %.
