OREANDA-NEWS. The Commission on the Investigation of Foreign Interference of in Russia’s Internal Affairs of State Duma supported the introduction of administrative punishment for Russian citizens who take part in events abroad organized by nonprofit organizations that are recognized as undesirable in Russia. This was reported to journalists by the head of the Commission Vasily Piskarev.

The situation was discussed at a meeting of the Commission. “We have administrative and criminal responsibility if the events take place in Russia, but, regarding that there is no responsibility for studying at these centers abroad, they all migrated from Russia abroad,” Piskarev said. He added that after training people come to Russia and “begin to organize protest actions here, promote drugs, and involve minors (In protest activities. – Ed.)”. Among the countries organizing such courses, Pisarev named the Baltic states, Finland and the Czech Republic.

The deputy said that the initiative to introduce administrative responsibility for participation in such foreign courses was also supported by representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of Justice who were the meeting of the Commission.

Nowadays 19 organizations are on the list of undesirable institutions. “Four of them showed the most vivid activity: the National Democratic Institute for International Relations, which is based in the USA, “Open Russia” (Great Britain), the German Marshall Fund of the United States and “People in Need” (Czech Republic),” the deputy said.
