OREANDA-NEWS. China’s success in the fight against COVID-19 deserves the highest praise, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin said.

The politician recalled that in the current situation, Russia and the China support each other, sending humanitarian aid, providing medical personnel, and setting up the production of vaccines against the virus and other modern medications.

“I would like to thank the partners for their support,” Mishustin said at the 25th meeting of the heads of government of the two countries taking place via video link. He also said that the trade turnover between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China was declining during the pandemic, but it will recover rather quickly.

Mishustin recalled that China is the largest trading partner of Russia: the country’s share in the foreign trade turnover is about 17 %.
